Computer Fact: Dust is one of the biggest killers of computers & electronics. As the dust builds up on the board it becomes charged and sooner or later this charge shorts out a component on the board causing failure. Another area that dust causes major problems is in the fans or heat sinks of processors. When the dust builds up it prevents the flow of cool air or the dissipation of heat from the sink resulting in the part heating up and eventually burning out. The quickest way to solve this is by opening your computer on a regular basis and hoovering out the offending dust. A dust free computer is a happy one.
